While the D2T DE range is an excellent dynamometer some of our customers have been experiencing problems with corrosion on the coolant manifolds. While undertaking overhauls in our workshops we have discovered problems where the older manifolds have disintegrated during removal. Closer examiation of these maniflolds reveales they were originally made from mild steel and the O'rings situated between the manifold plate and the dynamometer carcase had no groove to accommodate the O'ring.

We have improved the original design by fabricating the manifolds with stainless steel and the original O'ring grooves are now located in a brass insert we have placed in the manfold plate. This we believe this is a substantial improvement over the original design.
